Sunset-Bride-Photography > Who give this woman in marriage?...The presentation of the Bride represents a tradition which called for the families to release their children for marriage. More particularly, fathers had responsibility for "giving" their daughters to men who were seen to be appropriate as mates. While this tradition may carry some of the now unacceptable content of women as property, it has value for many people still in that it provides an opportunity for the family to offer it's support and affirmation as a wedding takes place.
Sunset-Bride-Photography > Please hand you flowers to your maid of honor...(In this case the flower girl) She is an Angel...
Sunset-Bride-Photography > An absolute requirement in any wedding ceremony are the vows the officiate exchanged by the couple, in front of witnesses, signifying they take one another as husband and wife. The exchange of vows represents the moment of covenant. The words which express the act of commitment are often considered to be the most significant in the ceremony. They are those which express: "I choose you, I accept your having chosen me. I commit myself to you."
Sunset-Bride-Photography > The unity candle can be a beautiful addition to a wedding service, another visible sign that the husband and wife have become one. If a unity candle is used, the two side candles representing the husband and wife and lighted first, often by the respective mothers or other members of the family, while the family is being seated at the beginning of the service.
If you would like this ceremony here in our Chapel the additional charge is $30.
